DIY: Neon Tribal Necklace

I love a good statement necklace!  It always adds that extra punch to any outfit even if it’s just a plain t-shirt and jeans. So check out the steps below.

Things You Need:

  • Spikes
  • Beads
  • Chain (two pieces
  • 2 Jump rings
  • Lobster clasp
  • Chain extender
  • Pliers
  • Beading string
  • Crimp tube with loop

Cut a piece of your string. Now string your beads starting with your neon bead  followed by your spike. It should be bead spike bead spike pattern.

Continue until you’ve used all your beads and spikes.  I used 13 spikes and 14 neon beads.

Add your tube to the end of your string and use your pliers to press it closed. If you have any super glue lying around put a little in the tube before attaching.

Use your jump rings and attach your chain extender to one piece of chain and your lobster clasp to the other chain.

Using your pliers connect your chain to your crimp tube on both sides.

I plan on wearing my new neon necklace with this black and white striped shirt.

*Be sure to leave a comment I’d love to hear from you!
