DIY: Chain Choker

These thick chains popping up on different runways are very reminiscent to the LL Cool J and Run DMC era.   Back in da day is when everyone was rocking  adidas, kangol hats and yes the infamous gold chain. Fast forward to 2013 and now you have a more chic spin on it and  I for one love it!

Things You Need:

  • 16 inches of large curb chain
  • Pliers
  • 2 large jump rings
  • S Hook

DSCN2815First, make sure your chain is cut to the appropriate length using your pliers. Second, take your pliers and attach your jump ring to one end of your chain and close up tightly. Connect your clasp to the other end using the 2nd jump ring. I’m using a S hook for my closure piece but you can use a regular lobster clasp too.

That’s it. Now you have a beautiful choker to rock.

It adds an edge to any outfit you’re wearing. I scored this army jacket at a local shop here for only $7 bucks!  A shopaholic’s dream…..A good bargain!

Happy Weekend Everyone!
