DIY: Embellished Sandals

DSCN2848

It’s always nice buying new items to add to your closet collection. It puts a smile on your face and makes you feel, or me rather, like a kid in a candy store. Buying new clothes and shoes is always nice but not always necessary.  There are tons of ways to turn something old into something new. A plain pair of sandals is just among a few things you can turn into ooooh my new fabulous sandals. Check out the tutorial below!

Things You Need:

  • Pair of old or new sandals
  • Assorted bag of rhinestones (you can get them here)
  • E-6000 glue (not pictured)

The sandals I’m using are some sandals I’ve had for about two years. You can fish out an old pair out of your closet or buy a cheap pair you would like to dress up. First things first, you need to layout your design.

After you got your design planned, start adding glue to the back of your rhinestones .

One down one to go! Let’s begin the other shoe.

When doing your second shoe, your design should mirror the first one. Finish the pair and let them dry overnight slipping them on. You don’t want your gems popping off give the glue time to set.

Tadaa!  An oldie but goodie to get you through the summer heat! What will you be wearing your sandals with?
