DIY: Pearl and Spike Earrings

DSCN5069Happy Friday Guys! Weekend is finally here and am I glad to see it. The weather here is off again on again. One day its warm then the next day freezing!! This type of weather if very rare, especially this time of year, in Texas. I’m usually basking in sunlight packing up my boots and getting out my sandals! Well cheers to the weekend and this super quick DIY to add some pizzazz to a pair of pearl earrings!

Things you need:
◾Pearl earrings
◾Push-on backs
◾Pliers
◾2 spikes
◾2 Meduim jump rings

Step 1. Open up your jump ring with your pliers

Step 2. Take your earring back and slide your jump ring through both loops.  Don’t they remind you of Mickey Mouse Ears!

Step 3. Slide on your spike. Close jump ring with your pliers.

DIY: Juicy inspired Anchor Shirt

I spotted Beyonce wearing this Juicy Couture pullover in the June issue of Instyle magazine. I loved the anchor and striped sleeves but it is a little too hot in Texas right now, to rock a pullover sweatshirt. So instead I found this red and white stripped Tee for $5.99 at a local discount store and found an anchor decal at Hobby Lobby!  Check out the tutorial below:

Things You Need:

Lay your shirt on a hard, flat surface.

Take your decal out of the packaging.

Position your iron on art with the paper backing side up, in the center of your shirt.

Read your instruction for the iron’s heat setting and follow all instruction to adhere your anchor to your shirt.

*if you use a different type of iron-on art read and follow the instructions on the package.
